SEPTEMBER 8-9: Patrol Rifle for the Female Officer (2-day) San Mateo, CA
This class is designed to improve the female officer’s overall rifle handling and shooting performance. Through intensive work the rifle operator will increase her ability to deliver her patrol rifle efficiently and effectively particularly in the following areas:
SEPTEMBER 10-11: Survival Pistol for the Female Officer San Mateo, CA
The purpose of this 2-day class is to improve the female officer’s shooting performance as it relates to surviving a lethal encounter. Through intensive range work the female pistol operator will increase her ability to deliver her handgun efficiently and effectively particularly in the area of shooting with speed. Performance based focus areas include: Problem solving, single hand and support hand shooting, expeditious stoppage clearing and reloading, pistol ground fighting, target-focused shooting, and shooting with movement.
Oct 12-15, 2026 Building Warrior Women Gryphon Group, Maxton, NC
This four-day program delivers comprehensive professional development built specifically for women in law enforcement. Participants move through leadership and tactical mindset training, hands-on officer down rescue and buddy care, combatives designed for the smaller-statured officer, and survival pistol skills emphasizing speed, accuracy, and movement. Each day builds on the last, creating a well-rounded, confidence-building experience that prepares officers to perform when it matters most.
November 2-4, Building Warrior Women Training Event November
Day 1: Defensive measures for the smaller statured officer. Hands-on problem-solving defensive tactics to increase performance and decrease officer injury. Day 2: Officer Down: Self Help/Buddy Care and Rescue-Team building, hands-on officer-down rescue techniques, practical exercises, and scenario-based training exercises.
November 5-6, 2026, Firearms and Tactics for the Mountain Bike Officer
The purpose of this class is to improve shooting and team bicycle rapid response performance through minimal classroom and maximum range time. This class will focus on skill-building drills as it relates to mountain bike officers and their specific duties to include officer safety, weapon retention and team arrest procedures.

I've known Lou Ann Hamblin for many of the long years she has been teaching law enforcement. A gifted instructor for students of all genders, she is particularly skilled at teaching female students in both physical skills and mental attitude.
